Returns Policy

WARRANTY INFO: 1 year carry-in warranty on components & defective workmanship only, of all electrical and other appliances, unless otherwise specified. No warranty on smalls. I.e. small items like: chip cutters, cutlery, chip baskets, inserts or tables, sinks, coldrooms, freezer rooms etc. Five year warranty on Teraoka scales (excl RSE3015). Three year warranty on Hamilton Beach (Fury & Exclipse Blenders only) and Brema Ice Machines / Makers. Two year warranty on Anvil, Bravilor Bonamat, DIHR, D-Wash, Forge Heavy Duty Grillers, Hamilton Beach, Rheninghaus, Summit (Milkshake, Slush & Soft Ice Machines only), Trespade (Mincers only), DIHR, Piron equipment. No warranty on used items. No warranty on used items. Only electrical components of coldrooms/freezer rooms are covered by 6 month warranty.

DEFECTIVE GOODS: We require written notice of the manufacturing defect within 24 hours of receipt. Manufacturing defective item to be returned (at customers expense) within 7 days for for repair / replacement. Does not apply to goods damaged in transit. See Liability heading below and Delivery Information page for more info.

GENERAL: 20% Handling fee applies on all correctly ordered & supplied items which are returned (at customers expense) within 7 days, un-used, un-damaged, in original new condition and original undamaged packaging. This excludes: used equipment and special order or sale items or end of range clearance specials, or special order quantities, which are all new appliances or custom manufactured items, including fridges, warmers, cake displays, ice makers, coldrooms etc.

GOODS UNDER WARRANTY:
Goods still under may be returned in the warranty period, at the customers own expense.
Goods will then be repaired under warranty, and made available for collection or delivery, as per the original orders shipping / collection instructions.
For large goods, large ovens, large dishwashers, large refrigerators etc. a technician will be sent out to inspect and repair the goods.

GOODS OUT OF WARRANTY:
Goods may be returned to National Catering Equipment for inspection.
Within 3-5 days, we will then advise if the equipment is repairable, whether we are able to repair it, and what the estimated cost will be.
The customer will then have the option to accept the repair quotation or decline the quotation and collect their equipment.

GOODS OUT OF WARRANTY - LARGE EQUIPMENT:
Where large equipment has been supplied, which is not easily moved, or returnable, the customer may request National Catering Equipment to come out to the site location to perform the repair inspection. Provided that the equipment is located in the major cities of Johannesburg, Durban or Cape Town.
We will advise the customer of the cost for the call out to perform the inspection. If the customer accepts the call out quotation, the inspection will be carried out.
Within 3-5 days, we will then advise if the equipment is repairable, whether we are able to repair it, and what the estimated cost will be.
The customer will then have the option to accept the repair quotation or decline the quotation.

PAYMENT: Goods remain the property of National Catering Equipment until payment is received in full.

LIABILITY: National Catering Equipment is not liable for any loss or damage caused to goods transported by the customer, a third party contracted by either the customer or by National Catering Equipment, or by National Catering Equipment themselves. Fragile goods like glass or goods with glass doors etc may break during transport. Goods transport insurance available on request at additional fee. Insurance does not cover glass, crockery breakables. Item supplied may differ visually from item quoted, however specification will be the same or equivalent.
